Firehorse has agreed that coaches and players and everyone can play practice matches in arena using E (Exhibition Bot) every Thursday from 8 am Est to 5 pm Est starting September 15th.

Fire is excited to see E bot in use because ?the flash stuff I?ve written uses that bot? Not sure what that means or what is in store for us but hopefully whatever it is it?s fun.

We need at least one coach to park in arena on Thursdays to (mediate disputes?haha just kidding) start the E bot and make sure players get on their respective teams and everything else.

Coaches are:
Firehorse, Kinga, AKL, Huge, Nasty_liar, Eastcoastgirl, BlueBayou, Zippity, Dudette and Reddfigg. If I missed anyone feel free to add your name on.

Instructions are:

!setteam 1 diamonds (pick ur own name)
!setteam 2 emeralds
!st start

!join 1 or !join 2

It?s exactly the same format 150 questions as team heats, 5 minute break after 75 questions and list questions on #60 and #120. If you notice errors copy and paste the question # with the correct answer and send them to Firehorse.

These games are open to everyone so stop in for a bit of fun on Thursdays. If someone wants to figure out all the other times and post them on this thread that would smashing.

Figgles, I love the idea but I have only but one concern.

The bots hours of operation for us aussies is 10pm - 7am, and for my much loved kiwi neighbours, their hours are 8pm - 5am.

I'm all for late nights and no sleep, but sometimes even I have to draw a line and from time to time require some beauty sleep. Even more so on a school night!

Is there a particular reason why the Exhibition Bot is only accessible during the said hours? Why can?t the Exhibition Bot (from here on known as the Funbot) be available for say a 24 hour period? This would give everyone all around the world, with different sleep and work patterns, an opportunity to play a round or two or three with the Funbot?

Good to see some life in here. I felt I was quacking into the void there for a minute.

I like the idea of Funbot, but it?s not my bot it?s Fire?s bot so Fire will need to decide if Ebot will become Funbot. I think there is a tongue twister in there somewhere.

I just put out an idea (with Fire?s approval) to perhaps breathe a little life into the arena as the season has gone on so long many of us have taken up farming, lint collecting or gone into hibernation. Worse yet, some of us even went on real holidays. The reason I picked a weekday was so that it wouldn?t interfere with team games or detract from trivia room?s participation.

I bet you any day or time would be good, and maybe Fire and the Committee would agree that a 24 hour Funbot would be the best.

Hahaha, I was being facetious on the bot being formally known as the Funbot. If it was up to me, I'd be calling it a Fembot and wishfully thinking it would turn into Liz Hurley. But I think Austen Powers owns the copyright for that name.

I totally agree with the weekday timeslot, and I'm sure 1 day a week isn?t going to kill off our trivia room participation.

Understandably it?s hard to please everyone, however a 24 hour Funbot gives us a little more equality.

P.S. - And Sunny wouldnt have missed it by 10 mins!

It?s ok, Ebot, Funbot, LizHurleybot, DadGumbot never showed up anyway, so nobody missed anything! There was a complaint launched to the Committee over a year ago about people using Ebot and thereby allegedly gaining unfair advantage in the league matches so my guess is that issue has yet to be resolved.

Only a guess because I don?t know what really happened! Hopefully Fire will receive notification of these posts and will clarify the point soon.

I consider this to be a great idea especially if the times are fine for the southern hemisphere as well so 24 hours sounds real good!

I have one question however, you mentioned coaches are to start the matches. It is my understanding (and i could be wrong) that only umpires have the hammer to start matches?

Maybe we need to have Fire clarify this to avoid embarrassment if we have a coach who is not also an umpire there to start the match.

I think a 24 hour play session is good too! I think that anyone with a hammer can start the Exhibition bot which might be different from League bot. I don?t know for sure either so I am hoping Fire shows up today to answer all our questions.

Plus are we supposed to use the regular room, OR the practice room with the contestant panels.
